Challenges

The client came to us seeking help with building a Google Workspace Product Resale Portal. This portal was known as G Suite Products. G-Suite Products allowed users to their Google Workspaces and manage seats and subscriptions to domains they have bought. Few of the challenges our developers had to solve involved:

  • Dealing with Google Authentication with varying levels of complexity for validating and syncing data.
  • Encountering token 2.0 authentication errors for which we needed to communicate with support for IP safe-listing.
  • Getting the intensive session tokenization process.

Approach

  • We have successfully developed and integrated the User Dashboard and Google Reseller API with Token Session Management. With this solution, each user (Vendor/Customer of Google Workspace) can view data from their admin console and manage their accounts at a friendly pace.
  • When it comes to functionality, it’s a portal to buy products from Google resellers, manage membership packages and seats. This means buyers can assign seats to the users as per the package. For example (If your membership includes 100 seats, you can license 100 users).
  • Above all that, the admin (google reseller) can also manage all users underneath. They can also manage their subscriptions with their assigned seats and invoices from the same dashboard, exactly like the Google admin console).
  • Portal developed using Laravel framework and custom APIs with PHPUnit testing framework.
